Crocodile Lake BWCA Walleye Fishing Kids BWCAW Camping East Bearskin Lake Boundary Waters Canoe Area Crocodile Lake BWCA Fishing Adventure canoe fishing nephews BWCAW East Bearskin Lake Boundart Waters Canoe Area and Wilderness is up the Gunflint Trail north of Grand Marais north of Duluth MN Went to Crocodile Lake with my nephews fishing for walleye in the BWCA or BWCAW The fishing was fun using leeches. We caught walleye, perch and a few small large mouth bass. Most of the walleyes are not very large, but are good eaters. Best to let the large Walleyes go. Have had some rough days when the mayflies hatch fishing can be slow, but there are always perch to fill the fry pan that they always seem ready to bite. Lake is not huge and the fishing is not sensational compared to some places I’ve been. Kawishiwi – walleye, smallies, pike, and crappies; Knife Lake – Lakers, big pike and walleye, Brule – smallies, and many other lakes, but was a great time with the nephews. Wouldn’t mind heading back Michael. You catch some fish tyler with scars and walleyes are the only toothed predator in the lake. Crocodile lake in the BWCA Boundary Waters Canoe Area/BWCAW Boundary Waters Canoe Area and Wilderness Jeff. I prefer calling it the BWCA in good old Minnesota. MN Gryga fishing fun. Would love to do the trip again, but the boys are now 10 years older and have been hitting the BWCA on their own now in their 20’s.
