Food always tastes better when you’re camping but that’s no excuse to eat mediocre food.
Preparing a meal in the great outdoors can be a pain – there’s no good place to chop veggies and it’s hard to organize all that food.
Not to mention the clean up! Who wants to wash pots and pans when you could be relaxing by the campfire or taking an after-dinner stroll?
The solution – hobo dinners.
Imagine eating freshly cooked seafood and delicious vegetables with minimal effort while camping and not have a single dish to clean.
Hobo dinners are packets of food (sometimes called foil dinners or foil packets) that can be fully prepared at home and simply placed on a bed of coals while camping or barbequing to cook.
The result is a hot, delicious, freshly-cooked meal without having to do any work while you’re outside so you have more time to enjoy the great outdoors. Eat them straight out of the foil so there’s no dishes to clean up.
The hobo dinner recipe I have here is for Garlic Butter Shrimp with Veggies. The butter brings out the garlic flavor as it roasts on the campfire resulting in buttery, garlicy, plump shrimp. This is a meal fit for a king.
